I adhere to current data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU/2016/679) (the GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.
I am happy to talk through any questions you might have about this, and you can contact me at elisa_liberati@outlook.com.

The personal information I record
If you contact me through the form on this website, I will receive the information you choose to share: your name, email address and your message. Form messages are stored securely by my website host and forwarded to my email, and I use them only to reply to your enquiry.
During your initial consultations I will ask you to read and sign a counselling contract, and I will collect your personal information including: name, address, date of birth, telephone numbers, email address, GP details, and information relevant to your visit.
Data security (how I store your personal information)
I take the security of the data I hold about you very seriously. As such, I take every effort to make sure it is kept secure. I do this by:
- keeping your personal information separately from any brief session notes that I may write;
- using encrypted devices and password protected laptops, keeping usage to a minimum where reasonably possible, and deleting information appropriately;
- minimising the amount of data I hold electronically;
- holding no paper records.
If I become aware of any data breach, then I will inform you immediately. If you have any queries about any aspect of confidentiality and record-keeping, please discuss this with me.

- in cases where I have a duty to share information regarding (but not limited to) the following:
- when compelled to give evidence by a court of law;
- if it is considered there is a real possibility of harm to yourself or others, or in such instances when information is of such a gravity that confidentiality cannot be maintained, for example:
- safeguarding adults (adult protection)
- safeguarding children (child protection)
- offences involving children under the age of 18
- in cases of terrorism, fraud or money laundering.
Your permission
I will seek your express permission to:
- contact you via your preferred method, and I will only leave a message with your consent;
- share information outside of the above exceptions;
- use anonymous details for professional development (case studies or training);
- publish any research material such as case studies, including those using a pseudonym.
